About the Import Procedures Course Programme

The trend in recent years has been to move volume manufacturing to places like China, India and other low-cost economies. This results in more imports and, therefore, more emphasis on purchasing, shipping and accounts staff to fully understand import procedures and Customs regimes.

Furthermore, many companies are actively involved in shipping goods to and from these (and the USA/Canada) markets for repair, processing or on a temporary basis. Therefore they become involved in Customs regimes like IPR, OPR, Warehousing and End Use Relief to name but a few. These regimes can be complex and problematic if the trader does not set them up correctly and/or administrate them in accordance with the regulations. Over recent years many companies have received Duty/VAT demands from Customs for non-compliance.

The ETS Import Procedures Course is designed to meet this training need. A one-day course that only covers imports from outside EU. The course is both practical and academic in nature and covers the subject in a very pro-active way.
